The ultimate version so far, it's too bad they don't release this great movie in the USA. This one is from Spain and can be had at DVDGO.com. Be aware that it is a Region 2 DVD so only playable on Region 2 players from Europe and is in the PAL format instead of NTSC. (Or a region-free player in a computer system or players like the Malata-N996 or N900 players)

Small example of 16x9 enhancement. The images above are 16x9 enhanced, I left the original images intact without any resizing done. This image would be resized to either fit a normal standard size TV (1.33:1 ratio) loosing vertical resolution, or stretched to fill a widescreen TV preserving the extra lines of resolution encoded in the image. Below is an example of each, click to bring up a bigger picture to see what actual resolution would look like.

Unfortunatly this release has several difficulties, the main one being that it is a Pan and Scan release loosing quite a bit of image on the sides. The second is the font used for the subtitles make it hard to read. This release does contain the original Cantonese audio track and is one of the only ways you can get this release on DVD. There is a German DVD also that I have yet to get.
