Added entry for Jet Li's fabulous movie Hero. If you havn't seen this movie, I suggest you find it. If you are a Jet Li fan you owe it to yourself. It's the best movie he's done in a long time. There are two DVD's with cover and vidcap examples of quality--althought they may be hard to find now that it's out in the theaters in the US. But the theatrical version is not cut so it's a good opertunity to go see it. |

Updated page with new colors, and also made all main pages xhtml 1.0 strict compliant. If anybody is unable to access these pages correctly, please let me know. They should work with all current browsers. If you are having problems, it's a perfect time to try: Mozilla Firefox, a lightweight, standards compliant browser! I am heavily working on getting the site moved into a MySQL database so it's easier to maintain/add content. Thanks for all your support, It's been a big project for me to maintain while I've been working full time and going to school full time. But I'm also graduating with my BS in CS and I should have much more time to spend with the site. |

Added entry + screen shots for The Medallion. It has been a long time since my last update. But hopefully I will get more updates done soon. I have just written several scripts to make it easier to add entries, and I am also working on a database where all the content is in the database so it should be much easier to maintain and keep current. |

Okay, we are finally resting on our new server. I have updated the Jackie Chan Alias list with a few recent Jackie Chan movies that were forgotten on previous updates, and also added entries for Shanghai Knights and the latest Jackie Chan movie being released 8/22/2003, The Medallion. |

Within the next week the server software that runs the site will be upgraded. A short down-time may occur. Also with the Semester at school over for the summer expect quite a few updates and upgrades. I have been working on quite a few things to enhance the website and make it easier to maintain and keep up-to-date. And after you read that you may want to visit: Appeal to Disney about butchering Hong Kong films when released in the US. As Hero will more than likely be re-edited/re-cut/altered/hacked/destroyed. Am I going overboard? Check out that site above for examples of what they have already done to other films. |

Added the new Columbia/Tristar release of Snake in the Eagles Shadow. This release is scheduled for 6/18/2002 and will contain such welcome improvements such as the correct aspect ratio (2.35:1) and anamorphic enhancement for those lucky ones with anamorphic or widescreen displays, and the original Cantonese language with English subtitles! While the ultimate version is still in the works from Hong Kong Legends, this will be the best version we get in the US for now. (Hong Kong Legends releases only Region 2 DVD's produced for Europe, those in Europe or with the ability to play Region 2/PAL releases may want to wait for this release. |

Welcome to the new Hong Kong Fanatic! This is the first update and first day the new site is active. I have been working on it for awhile but now that it's rolled out I hope to be able to update items much quicker. I moved from the static pages of old and onto a php/mysql driven version. Thank you for all your support, also notice that there are hardly any of those damn amazon.com ads. I hate them too but it has helped me pay for some movies on this site.
