I welcome you to my school, which I have named Hong Kong Fanatic because of my extreme enthusiasm towards Hong Kong movies. The goal of this school of sorts is to educate you and hopefully spark your interest in Hong Kong and Asian movies. To help you enjoy these, and all movies you watch at home, I have developed a section affectionately known as "Introduction to Widescreen."
This section will help you understand what you are watching, whether you are in a movie theater or in your living room. It discusses different viewing preferences and methods for watching movies. If you have ever wondered why there are black bars at the top and bottom of the screen on some movies or had difficulty reading subtitles that were cut off, then this section is for you.
The fun does not stop there. Now that you have some background information on how to properly view movies. My other bit of data is a section called "Jackie Chan: The Movies."
Here you will find all of Jackie Chan's movies. It also discusses what to look for, what to watch out for, and what to avoid. Jackie Chan is a true legend in the Hong Kong film industry, but there are plenty of shrines for the man, so we shall focus on his movies instead.
The third website found here at hkfanatic.com is Jet Li: The Movies. This section discusses and covers Jet Li's movies.
This section will be similar to what my Jackie Chan page has become. It will contain all of Jet Li's movies in all their many names and forms along with quality examples so you can see what you are getting yourself into.
now a proud member of the Web Alliance against Disney's butchering of HK films
