The video quality is top-notch for this old and neglected print of one of my favorite traditional kung-fu movies. Certainly the video is not top-notch like many of todays films but for a 1978 Hong Kong production it is very good. The only drawback is the audio is in Mandarin which is better than watching the silly English Dub that distracts from the movie, but still not the original language.

The paragraph below is what i originally had to say about this DVD. Well, more than likely it is not a pirate copy, however it might as well be. Infact, if it was, it might have better video. I have a video tape of this movie, that is better than this DVD. It is unfortunate it's not better quality, but someday we will see an official release from Hong Kong and we can all throw a Drunken Master party and watch both back to back in all thier subtitled glory.

This is a pirate copy that I came accross while browsing the web so I ordered it. As you can see from the cover art, all of the pictures on the cover are from Drunken Master 2, even though the movie is Drunken Master 1. And you can see it is very poorly put together. The video itself is presented here also, and I must say it is VERY poor.
