I still suggest the Mei-Ah disc simply because of the original Cantonese audio track it contains.

Small example of 16x9 enhancement. The images above are 16x9 enhanced, I left the original images intact without any resizing done. This image would be resized to either fit a normal standard size TV (1.33:1 ratio) loosing vertical resolution, or stretched to fill a widescreen TV preserving the extra lines of resolution encoded in the image. Below is an example of each, click to bring up a bigger picture to see what actual resolution would look like. The yellow seen on the Squashed Standard image is the area that is added by the player, this is the amount of resolution lost by viewing the 16x9 enhanced image on a 4x3 screen. It does not degrade the quality of the image when viewed on a 4x3 device, it just looks much better when on a 16x9 enhanced screen.
